The Pi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity would like to recognize Brother Lionel Bryant for his work as an educator in the Hillsborough County school system in Tampa Florida.
Brother Bryant is a graduate of Florida State university and Bethune Cookman College. He pledged the Omicron Epsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi in the fall of 1983.
He has been employed in the school system for over 32 years and currently works as Coach at Jefferson Senior High School.
Brother Bryant believes strongly in the four cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. He works to impart these principles in his daily interaction with his students.
Brother Bryant also serves as a role model and mentor. Several of his students have gone on to have successful Pro careers in the NFL. He has worked tirelessly to foster diversity and increase awareness of contributions made by Black inventors, Businessman, and educators.
Reminders of the Fraternity Motto can be seen around the School campus.
